The most dramatic part of Budapest is the huge rock face of Gellért Hill facing the Danube. For centuries, the mighty river and the stubborn mountain have been battling it out, slowly but surely eroding one of them. In the middle of the picture, a huge whirlpool seems to be swirling, as if the river is forced to turn back here, retreating at the foot of the hill. And yet this is what the unstoppable river is washing under the rock, hoping to destroy it one day. Are we, not ourselves clinging to our views, petrified to the end, which time will wash away with us?
